Maryland addiction services member agencies receive special pricing, Meaningful Use assistance

NASHVILLE, Tenn., July 10, 2012 – The Maryland Addictions Directors Council (MADC) and Qualifacts Systems Inc., announced today that they have entered into a partnership to offer Qualifacts’ web-based electronic health records (EHR)to MADC member agencies. The partnership will provide MADC’s 73 members with critical guidance and special benefits in the members’ pursuit and implementation of advanced EHR technology.

“Our motivation is to support our member agencies in their mission to provide the best possible behavioral health care for their consumers, ” says Maureen Zingo, member services coordinator for MADC. “An EHR with functionality specific to our members’ organizations, like Qualifacts’ CareLogic Enterprise, will result in more efficient, timely processes.”

Zingo concludes, “It’s just good business for us to partner with reputable, effective organizations which offer solutions that will improve our members’ jobs and make their lives easier in the important work they do every day.”

MADC member agencies will receive a special pricing arrangement for CareLogic Enterprise implementations and Meaningful Use consulting services, financing assistance and multi-agency collaborative possibilities.

“We’re thrilled to partner with MADC, ” says Jason Medlin, vice president of sales for Qualifacts. “Through the power of our single, national platform, MADC member agencies will be able to share best practices and exchange ideas through our network of substance use and disorder treatment agencies, which is the largest such user community in the country.”

Respected MADC member and Qualifacts customer Universal Counseling implemented CareLogic Enterprise last year and is already reaping the benefits of their EHR.
“We selected Qualifacts because of the ease of configuration and the flexibility of a web-based solution, ” says Tracy Schulden, executive director of Universal Counseling in Baltimore. “We previously endured a failed implementation with another vendor, but after only a five-month implementation of CareLogic, we experienced timely billing, improved communication and documentation, more robust reporting and accommodation of Maryland’s unique requirements.”
