Qualifacts Secures New Downtown Digs at the UBS Tower
Growing electronic health records company to occupy 25,000 square feet, two
floors of the newly-renovated, iconic high rise
Nashville, Tennessee – Qualifacts Systems, Inc. (Qualifacts) announced today that it has signed a new lease agreement with 315 Deaderick Owners LLC, the landlord of the UBS Tower located in the heart of downtown Nashville. Qualifacts has leased approximately 25,000 square feet and will occupy all of the 23rd floor and a portion of the 22nd floor of the UBS Tower. The space will undergo a new build out prior to move in, which is planned for spring 2017. Additional details of the lease agreement were not disclosed.

When we set out to look for a new office, we really wanted to stay downtown. I believe it’s important to have dynamic, fast-paced businesses committed to the urban core. There were certain challenges in making that happen, but we’re very excited it all came together.”
Qualifacts is the latest in a growing list of prominent tenants in the UBS Tower, Nashville’s second largest office building totaling 602,000 square feet of office space on the north side of downtown. UBS, the state of Tennessee and Jeff Ruby Steakhouse are among the organizations that currently call the tower home. Prospective tenants have become increasingly interested in the building, which is undergoing a $60 million overhaul. With the addition of Qualifacts, UBS Tower is now 80 percent leased.
The company’s decision to relocate was in large part driven by its growth. Qualifacts currently employs a team of 210, up from 35 employees when the company first moved to the SoBro neighborhood in 2007.

Robby Davis and Rob Lowe of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord, and Dan Bauchiero with Eakin Partners represented Qualifacts in the lease negotiations.
Nashville Mayor Megan Barry, along with other city and industry leaders, applauded Qualifacts’ growth and role as a local tech industry pioneer.
“Qualifacts’ success is a wonderful testament to their leadership and vision, as well as a pro-business and progressive culture in Nashville that fosters and promotes a strong entrepreneurial spirit,” said Barry.
Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Ralph Schulz also noted the significance of Qualifacts’ relocation for the local economy and the region’s expanding healthcare technology sector.
“An August 2016 study by the Brookings Institution positioned Nashville as the top city in the nation for potential job growth in healthcare IT,” said Schulz. “This announcement demonstrates Qualifacts’ leadership in that sector and the company’s importance to Nashville’s economic growth.”
Peers within the city’s tech sector agreed that this milestone is indicative of a winning recipe for the region’s healthcare tech sector.
