The Substance Abuse Center of Kansas (SACK) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention, treatment, and case management of individuals affected by substance use disorder since 1995 and is committed to supporting all methods of recovery and fostering quality partnerships within the state of Kansas. Since 2014, SACK has used Credible, an award-winning electronic health record (EHR) platform, to power their community care and operations. As part of Qualifacts suite of behavioral healthcare solutions, the Credible EHR enables SACK to optimize workflows, enhance business processes, and simplify billing and claims management.
Like so many other healthcare providers, the 2024 Change Healthcare cyberattack significantly impacted SACK. As soon as they became aware of the issue, the Qualifacts security team immediately worked with SACK to disconnect from the compromised integration. To continue SACK’s essential financial operations, Qualifacts quickly and seamlessly transitioned them to Claims Management Pro through their clearinghouse partner, Inovalon.
Inovalon’s user-friendly platform automated SACK’s billing claims cycle, from eligibility verification to payment posting. This increased accuracy, efficiency, and payments speed, ultimately improving SACK’s financial performance.
