Kings View Professional Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kings View, has come to an agreement with Merced County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) to implement the Kings View Professional Services Program to support their behavioral health service needs. The agreement marks the beginning of a multifaceted technology partnership between Kings View Professional Services and Merced County, which joins a growing number of California county behavioral health agencies that have long benefited from Kings View Professional Services’ expertise.
The Program represents a significant advancement in how Merced County BHRS will manage the clinical, operational and financial aspects of its operations. The Program features a combination of the industry-leading, next-generation Credible EHR and King’s View Professional Services’ proven managed services and support capabilities. It also will bring multiple advances to the county’s users, including California-specific billing and state reporting, intuitive form-development capabilities to support county/local requirements and a fully disconnected mobile solution for community-based services. Credible’s advanced functionality will be supported by Kings View’s seven decades of insights as a trusted and proven California behavioral health provider, ensuring that county agencies can fully optimize the utilization and value of the technology.
“The Kings View Professional Services partnership will be a great asset, because their history as a provider means they know what needs to be done to meet state and federal guidelines,” says Sharon Mendonca, MPA, Assistant Director-Administration, at Merced County BHRS. “Every county in California does things differently, and we need an EHR that will work for us without having to create a lot of workarounds, and that is ready to meet state requirements. We really liked Credible’s ease of use and the interoperability it will provide with a state Health Information Exchange (HIE), which we must have in the near future. That, plus the partnership with Kings View, were very strong factors for us.”
“Having a highly configurable, next-generation EHR platform will be essential for Merced County agencies as they expand service offerings. The right technology is also key to reducing risk as county providers adapt to the changes created by value-based care requirements from payers, the 21st Century Cures Act and additional state/federal mandates,” noted Amanda Nugent-Divine, MS, LMFT, Chief Executive Officer of Kings View.
“We are pleased to partner with Merced County,” Nugent-Divine said. “Along with many California behavioral health agencies, they trust us to provide and support a robust, flexible EHR technology platform that ensures their providers can meet their compliance goals, achieve accurate and timely billing and avoid exposure to risk in a rapidly changing care environment. We know they are going to be thrilled with all Credible has to offer.”
When they tap into Credible, county agencies will reap the benefits of:
- Certifying all stages of Promoting Interoperability under CMS guidelines including patient data access, and system-wide health information exchange
- Access to an advanced analytics business intelligence (BI) platform that provides agency-wide reporting
- Credible’s secure, reliable and certified hosting environment
- Consumer engagement tools, including a client portal that offers seamless connectivity
- Full access to data, including five levels of reporting
- A Learning Management System for staff education
- An efficient and rapid implementation process
- The ability to expand the platform with incremental modules such as Integrated Care, Inpatient/Residential, and more
“Kings View is unique in that we are not just a vendor or a fellow provider — we are both,” said Bill Dollar, Chief Information Officer. “This partnership is like no other in that we are bringing both a deep understanding of how the county behavioral health community in California works, and then providing the tools needed to thrive in that environment. The counties we work with trust us to bring them a premium, inclusive service that features the best possible EHR platform to ensure they remain compliant as they expand services and maximize revenue. We are committed to that goal and know we have found an ideal partner in Credible.”
