NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 12, 2020)
Qualifacts, a leading provider of electronic health records (EHR) for behavioral health and human services organizations, has announced a partnership with El Paso-based Atlantis Health Services (AHS) to provide a comprehensive suite of EHR services.
Atlantis Health Services provides an array of mental health, substance abuse, medication management and psychosocial rehabilitation services. By integrating Qualifacts’ CareLogic EHR into its operations, the agency expects to enhance its revenue-capture capabilities as well as expand such services as telehealth.
Atlantis’ decision to implement CareLogic resulted from a strong desire to have an umbrella EHR system to support its many facets of care, as well as Qualifacts’ dedicated support services, explained Laura Ramos, Associate COO.
“Atlantis helps individuals achieve a successful recovery or manage their symptoms in an efficient manner, including any level of care from mild to severe.” Ramos said. “Our philosophy sets first and foremost the recovery of every consumer by an individualized treatment. We specialize in Outpatient Mental Health Services, striving to assist our clients to overcome behavioral and emotional struggles as caused by different conditions.”
Atlantis Health Services is associated with Amanecer Health Systems, which has been under the supervision and ownership of Dr. Jean R. Joseph-Vanderpool, a well-known practicing Psychiatrist who has contributed with his services to the Community of El Paso, Texas for more than 20 years.
The move to CareLogic will allow AHS to realize immediate workflow efficiencies and decrease denials by bringing billing in-house rather than utilizing a third-party vendor. In addition to lessening reimbursement and compliance issues, AHS also hopes to engage Qualifacts’ experienced MACRA attestation so the agency can develop more clean and clear reports, allowing it to capitalize on revenue opportunities during that annual process as well.
CareLogic’s forms and workflows will be used to document care, improve outcomes, drive efficiencies and demonstrate high performance. The ability to meet each of those goals in a way that’s configured to Atlantis’ specific needs vs. the need to rework current systems and processes, was a key decider, Surwill says.
“Qualifacts is pleased and proud to welcome Atlantis Health Services to our family, and we hope they are the first of many new partnerships we develop with Texas providers,” said David Klements, President and CEO. “We are certain that CareLogic’s assessment and treatment-plan capabilities, clean, customizable forms, and tools for complex billing will allow AHS to increase the efficiency of clinical operations, improve client outcomes and expand the live and remote services its clinicians offer to the communities they serve.”
