Behavioral Health Leaders Combine to Provide Best-in-Class Technology and Services
Nashville, TN and Rockville, MD (February 10, 2021)
Qualifacts + Credible, leading providers of electronic health records (EHR) for behavioral health and human services organizations, have announced a partnership with Texas Panhandle Centers Behavioral and Developmental Health (TPC), Amarillo, TX, to provide a comprehensive suite of services through the Credible EHR platform. TPC is the first Texas Center to utilize the Credible system for state reporting.
As part of the Texas Community Center system, TPC provides services through 11 regional clinics across the upper 21 counties of the Texas Panhandle region. The agency provides behavioral health services, and services for intellectual and developmental disabilities, for both adults and children. In addition, services also are provided for children with developmental delays. TPC was founded in 1966 and is governed by a local board of trustees representing the citizens of its coverage area.
Multiple factors led to the decision to go with the Credible EHR platform, according to agency officials. Among them were configurability, integration and ease of use, as well as data capture, sharing and analytics for assessing metrics and outcomes. Those capabilities, along with the ability to adapt to Texas’ complex billing and state reporting requirements, will be crucial for this data-driven agency as it prepares for value-based payment contracts and continues in its evolving relationship with managed care organizations. They will also be vital as TPC completes the process of becoming certified by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC).
“Credible will be able to help us meet all the reporting requirements and quality measures in the CCBHC environment,” says Mellisa Talley, TPC Executive Director. “The entire team has shown a significant commitment to working with us to build out the necessary Texas functionality. We feel like we’re talking to people who are in our business rather than just ‘consultants’ who will put in a system and then quickly leave. We know Credible is going to stay with us.”
The agency’s implementation of the Credible EHR platform also will allow TPC team members to leverage Credible’s Knowledge Base, a social network specifically designed for collaboration and best-practice sharing among Credible users.
Following implementation, TPC will be fully supported by a robust state reporting suite that will integrate with major systems utilized by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, including: the Clinical Management for Behavioral Health Services system, or CMBHS; and the Client Assignment and Registration System (CARE).
“We will be working to integrate with those systems right away, as well as developing all the behavioral health SUD and IDD reporting required by Texas that will roll up under them,” says Sonia Lucas, Director of Partner Services. “And our fixed-cost approach to state reporting means we can eliminate a budgetary unknown while also staying on top of frequently changing requirements as part of our routine system maintenance.”
“Qualifacts + Credible are pleased to welcome TPC and expand our presence in Texas,” said Paul Ricci, CEO. “The investment we are making in a strong reporting platform will pay dividends right away for this dynamic agency, and we are certain it will benefit other behavioral health and human services providers across Texas.”
